ADBEMC Year‑End Appreciation Party: A Night of Gratitude

December 12, 2025 — Cabalen, SM Megamall Atrium

ADBEMC closed the year with an intimate Year-End Appreciation Party for 45 participants from the Board of Directors, Officers, Committees, and Management. The gathering recognized the leadership and volunteer service that power our programs year-round and reaffirmed our shared commitment to member-centered work in the year ahead.

Guests enjoyed a generous buffet of Filipino and Asian favorites, sharing stories and laughter over shared tables. To keep the festive spirit alive, the program featured door prizes, raffle draws, and giveaways—including food vouchers, gift certificates, and other tokens of appreciation—simple touches designed to delight and express gratitude for everyone’s contributions.

Adding a playful twist, the Best in Creative Hat contest brought color and creativity to the celebration. The imaginative entries reflected the joy and camaraderie that define our cooperative community.

By evening’s end, attendees left with full hearts and full hands—a fitting close to a year spent working side by side for our members. Special General Assembly Greenlight IT Modernization

Faster. Safer. Future-Ready.

On October 10, 2025, ADBEMC took a decisive step toward modernization. During the Special General Assembly, members approved a resolution to upgrade the Cooperative’s aging IT infrastructure, a move that promises faster, more secure, and more reliable service for all.

The decision comes after eight years of using the same servers and desktops, which have begun to show their age through slow performance, software compatibility issues, and an increased risk of service disruptions.

To address this, ADBEMC will invest in 2 mid-performance servers and 13 laptops running Windows 11 Pro, with an estimated cost of ₱480,000–₱550,000, fully funded from Coop resources. This upgrade is expected to support operations for the next five years and ensure that member services remain smooth and future-ready.

Members who attended the assembly enjoyed several perks, including ₱100 credited to the savings accounts of the first 394 attendees, major raffle prizes worth ₱10,000, and 33 lucky winners won ₱300 worth of Hawker Chan food vouchers.

This milestone marks ADBEMC’s commitment to progress, not just in technology, but in service to its members.

ADBEMC donates to Tondo fire victims

The ADBEMC, through the Gender and Development Committee, joined the IT Department and the ADB Staff Community Fund in extending relief assistance to the victims of the massive September 2025 fire incident in Tondo, Manila.

ADBEMC, responding to the request of the Gender and Development Committee, approved and released funding of 55 boxes (3,300 packs) of sanitary napkins to address an often overlooked matter in relief operations: hygiene needs of affected women and young girls.

The items were delivered last 4 October by ADB volunteers to the Upskills+ Foundation, and on 5 October to Project Pearls, both established NGOs serving the Tondo community.
